Together Facing COVID-19 with Bekasi Regency

Bekasi - After distributing a series of donations to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic to local governments in DKI Jakarta, Karawang, and Bekasi City, Toyota Indonesia again handed over donations to the regional government, this time for the Bekasi Regency Government. Donations in the form of 1 unit of Kijang Innova ambulance and 3,000 face masks were handed over by the Vice President Director of PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia (TMMIN) Edward Otto Kanter and Director of Administration, Corporation, and External Affairs TMMIN Bob Azam to Bekasi Regent Eka Supria Atmaja in a virtual ceremony today, Tuesday (29/9).

“We express our deep sympathy to everyone affected by COVID-19 and our sincere respect to the government and medical personnel who are working hard at the forefront of tackling this pandemic. Our hope is that this assistance can be invaluable in efforts to prevent the spread of the virus and mobility activities of the Bekasi Regency Government in dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak,” said Edward Otto Kanter.

This Kijang Innova ambulance is the result of conversion from one of our supply chain and part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in handling the COVID-19 pandemic. There are 17 units of Kijang Innova ambulance donated to various institutions and local governments.

In addition to several local governments, Kijang Innova ambulance has previously been handed over to the Indonesian Red Cross, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, and boarding schools. Together with dealers, supply chains and affiliates, up to now 108,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 40,000 face masks have been distributed. Direct assistance in the form of packages of basic necessities and necessities for maintaining personal hygiene to prevent transmission of COVID-19, such as hand sanitizers, cloth masks, antiseptic hand washing soap, portable hand washing tools and other necessities have also been distributed to the community in the surrounding environment and our dealers at throughout Indonesia

We also collaborate with other academics such as the University of Indonesia and Vocational Training Centers (BLK) such as the Jakarta Regional Job Training Center (PPKD), as well as several supply chain companies, in the development of various personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks, flocked swabs, medical google, hazmat suits, bag valve masks, and face shield.
