Plant Challenge Zero CO2 Emissions

Highlight Activities

Electric Vehicles

Toyota has helped with efforts to popularize electric vehicles to meet the government's program for achieving the COP21 target and reduce dependence on imports of fossil fuels. These efforts are also in line with Environmental Challenge-1.

Green Logistics

Zero CO2 emissions through the vehicle life cycle.

Eco-friendly Factory

The application of Eco-Plants uses new and renewable energy in the production process as well as daily activities including the use of solar cells in the factory (used for street lighting), and natural lighting in the factory to reduce the use of thinners in the car painting process. The process of modifying the system and applying the concept of natural lighting allows for its ongoing usage as an energy supply.

Achieve a Net Positive Environmental Impact

CHALLENGE 4

Minimizing and Optimizing Water Usage

CHALLENGE 5

Establishing a Recycling- based Society and Systems

CHALLENGE 6

Establishing a Future Society in Harmony with Nature

Net Positive Impact

Water Consumption Savings

Minimize and optimize water use.

Maximizing the 3R Concept

Discontinuing the use of Substances of Concern (SOC) through gradual elimination, and reducing the use of SOCs in the vehicle painting process by reusing thinners, optimizing the painting process, and replacing environmentally friendly water-based paints.

Harmony with Nature

Toyota Eco Youth is an initiative related to green activities for the younger generation in understanding how to reduce emissions. These activities include Toyota Forest Monitoring with universities, and mangrove planting with DLHK in the Karawang Regency.
